MINT PRESCRIPTION – RX
Do I need a valid prescription to order prescription sunglasses?
Yes. Prescription sunglasses are custom-made according to your vision needs, so we require a valid prescription before production begins.
My prescription is expired. Can I still place an order?
Yes. You may place your order before your eye exam and send us your updated prescription later. We can also send you a reminder to provide it once available.
What is Pupillary Distance (PD)?
Pupillary distance (PD) is the distance between the centers of your pupils. This measurement ensures that your prescription lenses are properly aligned with your eyes.
If your PD is not listed on your prescription, you can request it from your eye doctor or follow our simple instructions to measure it at home.
Can you use my contact lens prescription for glasses?
No. Contact lens prescriptions differ from eyeglass prescriptions, so we cannot use them to produce glasses.
Can you obtain my prescription from my doctor?
We can try, but due to medical privacy regulations it is usually faster for you to request the prescription from your doctor and send it to us directly.
How long is my prescription valid?
Most prescriptions are valid for two years, unless your doctor specifies a different expiration date.
